Wiring and plumbing, etc., on firewall

Recommended Posts

It strikes me that a lot of the stuff that's molded onto firewalls would look much improved by scribing around the parts to "lift" them off the firewall surface and create more accurate detail with paint. Has anyone tried this with success, and can you show examples?

I think this approach would also be beneficial to interiors, with deeper, crisper seams in seat pleats and around handles and armrests.

Haven't done it to wires on the firewall, but I scribe around my chrome trim around the windows. It makes a big difference at foil time and makes the trim look seperate.
