Cizeta-Moroder V16T scratch build

This is little build project I started, while in between waiting for components/design, etc. of others underway

I saw that I could probably develop this scale model using some existing donor components, and so a minimal amount of more labor/time intensive work (like 3D design/printing)

It was designed by Marcello Gandini (of Lamborghini Miura, Countach, Diablo fame & many more), and the child of engineer & builder Claudio Zampolli

It came into the world during that time of the 1990's when bigger was better & the 200 mph supercars started to come into being

The crazy bespoke V16 (yes, 16 cylinder) DOHC engine is it's heart, backed up by a ZF transaxle & unique transverse engine, while longitudinal transaxle, meaning the trans input shaft takes power from the centered output of the V16 block (not unlike an old Alfa Romeo design)

Enjoy! :)

Originally I had thought to use a cheap (and not greatly accurate anyways) Lambo Diablo kit, but it soon became evident that to satisfy my own personal minimum level of acceptable accuracy, that a wholly scratch built chassis would be required after all

I started next on making the unique V16 engine & drivetrain

Because the engine upper half & valve covers are readily displayed in the engine bay, I used some care in making that

For consideration of final assembly, and ease in duplication, I decided to make the engine with head & valve cover(s) integral, but literally in half, so two halves joined make one compete engine, with only accessory ends and intake assembly needed after

Also for same reason, I made the engine bellhousing & output housing as one piece, thus leaving the ZF transaxle as a separate component

Thanks guys, Miles, Bob, Ismael, Bill, Fabrizio, Brian, Ken & Tim :)

Brizio, last PM was Nov 18, my reply to you about items I sent you & transporter, PM me again if you sent since then :)

I've always liked this car too, was a unique '90's big supercar, and one of the first 200mph supercar crop to be sure

I started on some accessory items, like manifolds, starter, etc. and then some cursory molds, pretty happy with how the first resin bits of the drivetrain came out :)

Found a correct O.Z. racing 3-piece wheel, so now will modify it to make correct front & rear staggered set for model, and use the Tamiya F40 P-zero tires, which are correct for the car

Well ok, I won't stop....... As for the Ferrari McClaren she's at a stand still right now. I dropped the danger thing and blew the rear wheel to bits. Now I'm looking for a new set of wheels and tires for it but not having money to do so and finding the "right" looking wheels for it. Well it's been shelved until I can get a set of wheels under it. I still have the McLaren parts for you here!!!
