  1. I too use this meathod. I like Arm&Hammer as it is not harsh on the plastic and has baking soda so it scrubs nicely. It is also what I use on my second to last paint coat as it works like a finnal wet sand and the last coat just shine
  2. Thanks guys, much appreciated. Checked it out on the weekend and they are even cheeper than my local retailer
  3. That's a great idea. I'm not a psychiatrist but my proffessional opinion is "No, your not crazy".
  4. Does anyone else on this forum build Gundam kits? If you do, do you get your models online and if so from who? I wish to get some more kits but they can only get a very limited selection at my local shop, and I dont want to drive 2 1/2hrs away to pick up any kits that they don't have.
  5. Pre building complete. Now time to disassemble and fix any sprue connections, sand for better fitting parts, sand for paint, paint, decal and clear.... Not sure how fast the rest will be completed as I have lots of projects on the go. But pics will be up as I go.
  6. Not really. The Wacky Gundams are "one offs" or special units. This is a production model meaning mass produced. Think of the wacky units as concept cars and these as the production car. Plus these are ground units so they dont have the wings for flying around space. So I couldn't just let this sit on my shelf so I decided to start the pre-building. I may stop once it is pre-built and not paint till most of my other projects are done. Here is the progress so far:
  7. I know its not car related, but I am happy Picked it up on the weekend Lots of parts and fun to build, and always look good once they are built...
  8. Went to the big city today and got to visit one of my favourite model stores This is what I picked up: I love Gundam models but they can be very expensive. This store always has a good deal Lots of parts: that will hopefully look like this once completed: I'll post as construction starts
  9. Got the same model as Cranky. Paid $29.99 Cdn at Factory Direct in Kingston Ontario. Works hella good
  10. I got an ultrasonic cleaner as well. Used windex and I must say "WOW". Thanks for passing on the tip to us Cranky.
