wisdonm
The beautiful handcrafted cars are priced at $9,500 each – roughly the same amount of money that one would have to pay for a complete restoration of the original car. ????
Thom
Not that I'm bitter about my incorrect guess, but Who works for $3.17 an hour including materials ?? Edited April 12, 2013 by Thom
Harry P.
Who works for $3.17 an hour plus materials ?? Yeah, that has to be a typo.
Foxer
It was way too shiny to be real. Only us model fanatics rub paint out that much!
Erik Smith
Not that I'm bitter about my incorrect guess, but Who works for $3.17 an hour including materials ?? 3,000 hours for the whole process (scanning, molding, etc)? Or to build each one? That would mean 1 1/2 years of 8 hour days. Oh, where were they made? $3 an hour is big bucks someplace!
dimaxion
Not R E a l Thanx .. Hmmmm.. this did not come out as I had planned . I typed it up as I was falling off the cliff . Guest G Holding
Harry did post a picture of a real car that was used to MAKE the model....Here are the source places for the real car and the same image as Harry used as I have been in touch with Harry and he said post it. http://www.wired.com/autopia/2011/05/ralph-lauren-collection/?pid=980&viewall=true http://www.carsite.co.uk/news/article/ralph-laurens-car-collection/12705 http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/f1 lm http://brakebanzeen.com/2011/05/18/sell-a-few-ralph-lauren-polo-shirts-and-you-could-own-a-garage-like-this-wvideo/ http://luxedb.com/buy-ralph-lauren’s-classic-cars-–-in-18-scale/ Photo source is Michael Furman Everything on this photo says original car owned by Ralph Lauren...I cannot document any model pictures taken by Michael Furman....Anyone help us with facts ? otherunicorn
So what you are saying is the photo is the REAL car, not the model. That's the conclusion I get from looking at your links. Yup, nowhere on the model page does it actually say that the photos are of the models. Edited April 13, 2013 by otherunicorn

horsepower
So, the best I can tell from looking at the links is that they made models of the REAL car, but the picture shown is of a real car that was used to make a MODEL from, so if I'm not losing the remaining marble, those that said real are correct as the picture is of the real car, not the model? I think that the "article" got Harry this time Edited April 13, 2013 by horsepower
