This is my first WIP here so don't be too harsh, lol

I picked this up years ago in my Flea Pickin days. It's a 1/20 scale die-cast Hubley kit built and customized with some 1/25 scale wheels and tires.

Doing some test fitting of a 1/18 32 Ford rear axle and a 1/20 428 Ford engine from the AMT Popcorn wagon. I'm leaving the fenders off and setting the frame up inside the body.

More testing.

Thanks for looking,

Harry, 1/20 scale parts are quite limited so using 1/18 wheels and tires off of compact 60's cars works pretty good.

Here's the last Model A I did, it even has a 1/18 engine. Some 1/18 cars run small in scale as well so you just have to find what looks good and go with it.

I'm gonna have to follow along with this one! I have a Hubley '32 Chevy I've been wondering what to do with it. I also have lots of the 18th scalers sitting around, many from garage sales with missing wheels and broken parts. I wonder how that Viper V10 would look in that Chevy....

Looking good so far! Keep it up and I'll keep watching...

Made steering rods out of wire to replace the large flat bar type rods that come with the kit. I also made a dummy steering box, the arm moves with the wheels but does not turn with the steering wheel. I shaved the back of the rims and mounted then with a rivet so I didn't have a screw through the wheel as Hubley did.
