Railfreak78
Hey Nascar fans (and all racers really) I have seen some really wicked and real looking hood pins on some of the models. What brand do you recommend and can you maybe help with links? I have 3 Days of Thunder cars I'm going to build and a few older Nascar kits and you guys gave me tips on the fuel set ups for detail and I think the pins really make or break a build. Thanks guys for any help.
Danno
Brian, Detail Master makes a wicked hood pin set. Highly recommended.
High octane
Brian, Try the hood pins from Pro-Tech, as I like them alot. They advertise in Model Cars of course!
MarkJ
If you don't want to buy them you can make your own using small sewing needles. they actually are functional like the real ones. Drill holes in the core support and the hood. Cut off the pointed part of the needle the length you need so the eye of the needle just extends enough when the hood is shut for a fabricated pin from small guage wire can go through the eye of the needle.
