Adventures in soldering:Hot Rod Wrecker Project Update 2/1/15

Recommended Posts

small update,

The Lindbeerg kit that supplied the semi wheels and tires needs some work on the wheels. Scratched up some drum brake detail and used a cut down paint bottle top for the finned hubs.

I didn't think I could be amased anymore with this build but you just keep upping the detail on this and blowing everyone away .

I am really going to hate seeing this project come to an end, don't get me wrong I want to see the finished product but to be blown away everytime I open your page ........Keep it coming. :):):D:D

Danno, Ft. Collins! where were you?

Colorado Springs; worked throughout the state many years and officed in Denver; still have family in Denver & Ft. Collins! Roamed the Front Range and the High Country.

It is a small world.

Keep up the good spectacular work!

Your giving me flash-backs to my youth reading How To articles in Model Car Science or Car Model. Don Emmons, Jim Keeler, or Dennis Doty couldn't have taught any better. Amazing workmanship. And to mimic everyone else, keep up the inspirational work.

Thank you for sharing! 2thumbs.gif

Thanks John, appreciate the compliment!

Thanks Steve, I get most of my brass from K & S Enginerring, but most LHS don't stock their full line. You can order online thru.. www.caboosehobbies.com In the search engine just go to the manufacture option and scroll down.

Ahhhhhh ... Caboose! Heaven on earth.

Been "lost" in there for hours on end, many, many times.

If only they'd clone that baby down here.

Hi Mike, Like your theory!!

Using the radiator casting from the '37 Ford kit but it is blank on the front side. Probably will see thru whatever I come up with for a nose on this thing so made up a rock protector screen..

My left eye is spinning clockwise, my right eye is spinning counter-clockwise.

I mutter vague profanities.

I bit my tongue because it was hanging out.

It's metal... and yet, more detailed than plastic.

Oh, and it's un-freakin'-believeable!

Like seeing a UFO, I don't know how, I just know it is AMAZING!
