landman
Is the '64 GT Hawk resin body to retrofit the 53 Starliner still available? I believe it was made by a John Heyer. Or where would I post hoping to find one for sale?

jbwelda
very nice! do you mind sharing how much it cost? I am thinking probably 50 or 60 $? well worth it from the looks of it, even a nice box jb
Kris Morgan
That thing would make a great lookin Gasser. (Kevin hates when I say that)
landman
J.B., it was $80 and yes, it is very nice. I want to replicate the '64 I once owned. Kris, the Hawk will be stock, like mine was. But I was thinking of turning the donor '53 into something fearful I once saw at an all Studebaker show in Peterborough. Someone had taken a '54 and installed the drivetrain and interior of a Buick Grand National and painted the car black. It was so well done, it didn't look modified at all. Bob Ellis
And you buy an AMT 53 Studebaker kit to finish?
jbwelda
yes Bob I believe that is the idea. I have a 53 stude panel van from jimmy flintstone I think that I had planned for the kit I already have; I need to buy another to do this GT Hawk, always one of my favorite designs to come out of America. jb
landman
I remember seeing a black one sitiing under the canopy of the hotel I was checking in. It was around '78. That image create an intense desire to own one. It wasn't until '95 that I got the one above. And what a car it was!
