It was a way to get a new truck without getting a new truck. It was great for a wrecked truck, or if your cab was falling apart before the rest of the truck(Freightliner). I didn't know a crane was commonly used, my limited (and unfortunate) experience with loading hay involves a lot of lifting, sneezing and itching. I saw all nine trucks at a T/A in Virginia back in 2013. The old Clay Millican race hauler from 2007. This is sitting like this at the Werner trailer yard in Omaha. That old Chevy though, beautiful. They like driving those on the roads, even see them on the freeway sometimes. Seems like it wouod be dangerous if someone got hit by a forklift doing 65mph or more.
