37 ford slammer

Started this in November 09, well the mockup and the paint anyway. Drug it back to the bench a couple of days ago and decided to bite the bullet and try to get it done this time. Paint is a DuPont red with red nail polish top coat on a Boyds coupster body. Resin funnycar engine etc with modified revell top sportsman chassis and tin.

gonna flame it once I get all the ton of trial fitting done.Have to scratch most of the cage as this is pretty narrow inside.

I want to get a few doorslammer builds done this year and this one is the test bed for the next (a modern interpretation of a SWC willys)

Thanks guys

Great start for the slammer. Slammers can be fun and quick builds

Chris, sorry if I confused you, I meant slammer as in Top Door Slammer the Aussie/Kiwi equivalent to Pro Mod.

It will be detailed about the same amount as my chevelle , hope this clears it up for anyone who's a bit confused about it.

Looks nice Brett, love the red paint, can't wait to see the flame job, have a '41 Willys from Flashpoint, the body on that is really narrow too, my plans (when I get to it)is either modifing it to be a '41 Plymouth or a modern Big John car, could be a nice match to your upcoming SWC Willys.

Oh Doh!! my bad... Very cool that it is basically a Pro Mod. Can't wait to see more of this build.

This is going to be interesting! These are perfect cars for building Pro Mod, or Top Doorslammer. I like the paint, it looks very good on this body. Engine looks good too, and that mockup is so great that I can't wait to see the finished product...
