  1. I was was hoping to not have to go outside, but I guess ill just have too. It just seems strange that the smell was downstairs. It was worse down there than up in my room. I guess its because the vapors are heavier than air so they settle to the forst floor. Thanks guys!
  2. Ive been getting in trouble lately for painting in my dorm room. The lady says she can smell it all the way down on the 1st floor, Im on the 3rd. I have a paint booth in my room. Its just made of cardboard boxes taped together with an opening at the top. Its mostly for keeping overspray off the floor. I also have a fan in the window. I guess this isnt enough to get the fumes out. Any ideas on what to do. Id get soo bored here if I couldnt make my models!!! Thanks!
  3. Has anyone used this before? Any thoughts on it? Thanks http://www.modelcargarage.com/store/pc/vie...mp;idproduct=63
  4. Thanks guys!! Ill have to look for that Microsol stuff. Unfortunately my LHS doesnt have too much of that kind of stuff. Ill have to find some. I might try white glue. Just plain Elmers glue?
  5. Im putting the decals on an old MPC Shelby Charger model I have and some of the decals arent sticky quite well. I can get most of the decal to stick, but some edges are comming up. Is there some sort of glue I can use to stick it back on? Thanks!
  6. hey there First, whats the difference between resin models and the regular old models from Revel and AMT? Now Ive seen resin bodies for sale all over the place, but are their complete kits, or am I on my own with the chasis and such? Thanks!
  7. Yeah, I dont airbrush either. So Ill give that stuff a try. Thanks
  8. Ive been using Model Master Silver Chrome Trim paint to detail the trim parts on my cars, but I dont think its shiny enough. Any siggestions on a better more shiney paint to use?
  9. Your Charger looks sweet!!! You should have been the one working for Chrysler designing the newer Charger. The new one kind of disapointed me, but the Challenger made up for it. Keep up the sweet work! Cant wait to see this one finished!
  10. Thanks guys! This has been a lot of help. I havent done models in a long time so im just getting into it again. I thought about masking, but I used masking tape to make a vinyl top on it and thought putting tape over that would just take the paint of the top. Since this was my first build in a while I figured it wasnt going to be that nice so I was willing to try new things and see how it turns out. Once I figure out how to shrink my pictures I will post them for you all to see. Thanks for all your help!
  11. Im building a 70 Challenger and its comming out really good until I got to painting the window trim. I cant seem to keep the paint on just the trim and not get it up on the roof. I guess my hand just isnt steady enough. Any tips on how to do this? Thanks
  12. Yes, Ive found lots of those, but they dont look like the modifieds now. Im thinking I might have to use one of those though and make my own modifications to make it like the newer ones.
  13. Im looking for a Troyer Asphalt Modified, but all I can find are the older cars like Richie Evans' Coupe. If I cant find one I guess Im going to buy one of the old ones and make my own parts so it looks more like the newer modifieds. Ive attached a photo. Hope it works. Thanks!
