  1. Chad, I didn't mean to imply you were being a smart aleck. Your nominations are good, thoughtful, and well taken. We appreciate being made aware of talented builders who deserve consideration for invitation to The Masters Challenge. If you, or anyone else, have addresses for these nominees, it would be very helpful. Please email contact information to: Info@TheMastersChallenge.com Thanks!!
  2. Wow, Chad. Why don't you nominate them? As I have previously stated: If we've missed someone you feel should have been invited, by all means nominate them. Your post does nothing constructive; it does not tell us what important names are missing. So, nominate them. Thanks!
  3. Also, I'm sending you a note with the last email addy I had for you. If you don't receive it today, please drop me an email off board with a good snail mail address; your invitation was returned by the postal service ... ooops! We have bad info. Thanks!
  4. Here's the deal. Maybe you've not built in the 'super-realistic' vein before, maybe ultra-detailed or technologically-advanced has not been your thing in the past. But, no one knows what you are capable of accomplishing until you are inspired to stretch your efforts beyond anything you've tried before. That's what The Masters Challenge is intended to be all about. Inspiring, motivating the very best builders in the world to reach further and further outside the box; their box; the hobby's box. You've been invited, as have the other invitees, because you are known and recognized to be a noted, exceptional builder ... in your own style, whatever it may be ... We don't know which genre of building will produce the next quantuum leap in the hobby. But we intend to try to make it happen. We think the next evolution or revolution in modeling can come from anywhere, anyone. We think any of The Challenge's invitees has the potential of setting the pace of the future. And, perhaps it will be some 'undiscovered' uber-modeler that has not yet attained widespread attention. We made a diligent effort to identify as many appropriate invitees as possible, but we knew we could not possibly nail it 100%. We're human. That's why we have asked anyone and everyone to let us know about any builder that should be invited. Who knows? The builder who generates the sparks of the future's fires can be anyone, whether a well-known competitor building within his/her realm, a well-known competitor building outside his/her current comfort-zone, or a regionally-known builder who gets the fever from The Challenge to set the hobby on its ear! It's really not unlike IROC or the Kentucky Derby; many, many competitors engage in common events, but few rise to the level of competition at IROC or the Derby. Those that are invited to compete at that level have the potential ... and the challenge ... of setting the tone for their genre. Like IROC, like the Derby, The Masters Challenge is intended to be an exceptional event where exceptional competitors have the opportunity to suggest or define the future. Hopefully, this will provide some insight into what we were thinking as we culled multiple sources for the invitee list.
