Measure ANYTHING on your model and multiply it by 25 and you get the real size. If you have the real dimension, divide it by 25 and you have the correct 1/25 scale size. Works the same for any scale. That's a good point, is self-evident to a lot of us, but might need a little clarification for a new modeler. What he means is that if you measure something in full scale (1:1) to be 36" (36 inches) in 1/25 (1:25) scale it will be 36mm. It just happened to work out that way and it IS pretty convenient.
