  1. Yes I think you're right, I prefer it without the rear covers, especially with these tyres and the lips
  2. Cheers for the advice. I was thinking of doing the salt thing and then primer over it, so it looks like there is rust comming through the primer. Doing that all over the body with rust in the usual places, the possibly a new door or boot lid? I'll just see where te build takes me Jack
  3. started to rust the bonnet and I also have settled on the wheel/tyre combo. I am going to make the rear tyres whitewall, so if anyone knows what paint to use, etc... LMK. I also added the lips from the kit to the rear wheels Opinions?
  4. My revell '49 mercury arrived yesterday. I'm gonna need a lot of advice throughout this build - so be prepared for stupid questions. The Idea is slammed, Primer, rust. inspiration Here it is mocked up with my chosen wheels, I am not sure on tyres yet but we will see. (sorry it is out of focus ) I am thinking of putting weld lines on the chop top and doing a primer over rust paintjob but a mint engine bay, frame, floor pan, etc. tatty interior Jack
  5. I saw Dr Cranky's video about using a piece of a 'bobble' to make a grill for a rat rod and I was wondering id there are any other household items that you use on your cars? Dr Cranky's video Jack
  6. This is going to be a sweet build! You should see what the 'IRA' is in Northern Ireland...
