1966 Buick Riviera Cannonballer….

I am pretty sure "Cannonballer" is a word...

Here is my AMT 1966 Buick Riviera, set up to run the 2014 Cannonball Run (so, I guess it could be Cannonball Runner…).

I swapped out the nailhead for an LS9 Corvette engine, used Fireball Modelworks resin wheels and tires (for that 70's look). I tried to keep it looking kind of 70ish but with the modern efficiency...

Front seats were swapped with ragin seat and 5 point belts - really the only safety equipment.

In order to increase fuel mileage, I replaced the steel bumpers with "aluminum"...

Paint is Duplicolor, clear is Deft lacquer...

Thanks for looking!

Sharp looking Riviera ! Your detailing is among the best I've seen , wish I knew how to do it . Especially the engine compartment details like your hose clamps . . . ?

Also those resin tires look really nice too !

X2. Really superb. I can look at it a long time just taking in the nuances of your craftsmanship. So good.

Looks like Erik just redefined "sinister" for us. What a knockout! Beautiful paint, modern power, and a sinfully suggestive stance.

Add in Chief Joseph's wheels and tires and you can pave your own path to perdition with molten rubber and tire smoke.

Erik, did you modify the stock suspension or use the lowrider's setup?

Thanks for comments!

Suspension is the lowrider setup with some minor modification for tire clearance and final "look".
