Dr. Cranky
Those wheels are very cool. I also like that green color on the body.
sipari
Hey everybody! I've been following this site for as long time now and finally decided to register. I don't like or care much about cars but this build is totally awesome stuff. Great fun and inspiration. I've already made one PA Mercedes Benz, but it's not an plastic model but old toy that i got from flea market, like most of the stuff i use. I do have plastic models waiting to be build but they are tanks and aircrafts. I use paper, cardboard, etc. too. I make 3d camo suits also. Anything goes. At the moment i'm making an other car, broken toy from flea market too. I don't know the name since i'm not car person. Thanks to Dr. Cranky and everybody else for this site and i hope this goes on for ever. Sorry about my rusty english.
sipari
Thank You! Before i put any more pictures here i'd like to confirm from Dr. Cranky if i can join with my non plastic model works. Meanwhile if anyone can recognize this that i'm working on now. Unfortunately the photo did not come out properly. I'm planning to make zombie crusher from it. Totally inspired by the one that Dr. Cranky made.
Zarana-X
Thank You! Before i put any more pictures here i'd like to confirm from Dr. Cranky if i can join with my non plastic model works. Totally inspired by the one that Dr. Cranky made.7.JPG Looks like it could be a model to me! You're best bet to ID this is checking it over for any tradmark markings, second to that ,the google image matchign thing, I've no idea how to use it though. Europe is home to many car brands and models Most Americans aren't familiar with or don't even know about. Renault, Peugeot, Daihatsu, Seat... To me it looks like the nose of a Peugeot 405 and the back end of a Suzuki Jimny with custom t-tops, but that can't be right.
Zarana-X
Here's some of what I got doen. I did more after this, but didn't take a picture. I'm nearly done with the car.(still working on the figures) I've added spotlights, mirrors and have done the decals. Here's a stock police car for comparison. Zarana-X
Very cool... what is the cop car behind the one you showing?I think that is a late 60's Skyline.
Zarana-X
I've done quite a bit more work, and the car is pretty much done. Maybe a little more weathering and finishing up the figures. I forgot to add these at first, but it's the first page of the instructions. It would be cool if anyone could translate the "story". Also the decals. I put these in the window for two days to help bleach out the yellowing, and coated them with Future before using. I couldnt read the warning labels with the naked eye, but with a magnifying glass they are aircraft ejection seat labels...
otherunicorn
aircraft ejection seat labels? Well, that's cheating!
sipari
Hi there! Went out today and took some pictures from that PA Mercedes Benz i mentioned earlier. My first try with salt and sugar method didn't work so well, but it turned out to become camo pattern. Slowly working with my version of Zombie Crusher too. I have two of them crushing things, i have to decide what to use. Also i've been collecting more of them cheap vehicle toys from flea markets so i have plenty of work ahead. sipari
Before i found this forum i bought some police force-toys from flea market and i've been working on them when ever i felt like it. Mostly i've worked with this some kind of recon vehicle i suppose. Didn't really know what to make of it, but now it's turning to be an other post apocalyptic/zombie hunting thing. sipari
" Nice paint and photography skills." Thank You, but actually i took over hundred pictures with two cameras; Canon ixus 120 is and Sony dsc-w320. I get better results with Sony. Only when i get home and download pictures i see which are good. It's allways an surprise. And i promise you, they don't come all out properly. Dr. Cranky
Hard to believe this thread was started a year ago and it has filled so many pages with outstanding eye candy. Thanks to everyone who is still contributing to and being influenced by all the previous work shown. Toothless Zombie Hunting has never been more fun. Jantrix
Well holy cow folks, it's finally starting to look like a vehicle. I think I moved my previous pics into another album and killed the old thumbnails. Here is the full album if you want to check out my Puma ATRV. http://s53.photobucket.com/user/Jantrix/library/Puma%20ATRV?sort=3&page=1 Comments and criticisms are welcome. You can't hurt my feelings so feel free to be honest.
Dr. Cranky
Rob, I love it. Between gizmology and scratch-building, you've got yourself a great vehicle in the works. Keep it going, please.
LoneWolf15
Now I realize that this is still a work in progress . I really like what you have so far , my question is how do you plan on protecting the cockpit and it's driver ? Seeing you getting your ear chewed on by a zombie would certainly put a dent in our day ! Lmao ! Great work , looking forward to the finished product ! Jantrix
Donn............I was sort of just shooting for a science fiction theme more than anything zombie related. Like something you'd see in one of those campy post-apoc movies from the 80's.
