Jagermeister Porsche 956C

I have had this kit on the shelf and half finished for over a year. It was delayed because I was procrastinating about finishing the wheels. Yes, I know i could have used those stupid wheel covers, but the BBS wheels look so nice. Plus, I really don't like those dumb wheel covers on any car. I know they are aerodynamically better, and i know that most cars ran them but...MY CAR MY RULES :P

Anyway I was able to finish the wheels after a good buddy of mine (and fellow board member), Ariel Hernandez purchased some Kosutte Ginsan (at least I think that's the name. It's the only English on the whole box.)from Japan. This is a black powder that buffs up to chrome as you rub in on the gloss black base coat. (I think it would probably work over any base cost color) It is fantastic stuff. I am amazed!:o:P

The car is painted with Tamiya rattle can bright orange. The car is a curbside with no motor provided. I built it out of the box with only a scratch built set of seat belts(which you cant see :P ) and some Scale Motorsport Hi-def carbon fibre decals around the rear defuser. I hope you like it.

Here's a closer look at the wheels.

Very nicely done. Although stupid Revell got the type of Porsche wrong, it is a 962C not a 956.

Yep, it's a 962. It's a Hasegawa re-box as well. The real Jagermeister 962C is much different than standard 962's, which are only subtly different than 956's. I guess Revell patterned it after the Jagermeister 956 and called it such to cash in on the German sponsor in the home market. Anyway you slice it, it's a nice looking model, right or wrong
