pharoah
I did some photoshopping to see what this would look like. I like it. What do you guys think?
Guest
Get rid of the crown on the rear of the roof, re shape the C pillar a little, add a chrome strip around the rear window opening and you'll be onto something I think. If I ever get around to buying and building this kit, I think I'll turn it into either a '48 or '49 "non" woody.
Harry P.
I agree on the roof. Make the top of the side window parallel to the bottom and get rid of that hump on the roof.
pharoah
I'll see what I can do about the hump. But the side windows are stock except for the very back part . B pillar? Here's another view. Pay no attention to the background. Edited September 21, 2014 by pharoah
Harry P.
The side windows look ok when the car is stock because they form an arc from the front of the roof to the rear. But when you cut off everything behind the front window but keep that stock curve of the window and roof, the curve looks out of place. So since on the ranchero the side window is now the only window, the shape of it (and the roofline) has to be resolved within that shorter length. Know what I mean? Harry P.
So, John... how about a model of your idea?
pharoah
So, John... how about a model of your idea? That's why I was doing this Harry. I just got the Mercury kit a few weeks ago. But there's another project in front of it.
