Tamiya Subaru brz and toyota 86

Recommended Posts

I am curious how the Aoshima and Tamiya versions will compare...I usually find Tamiyas to be better in detail, accuracy and fit.

Well what I have been reading, Aoshima is getting up there on detail that Tamiya is, and the Aoshima version of the Aventador has more engine detail then Fujimi one, and opening doors as well.

I am not sure if the Aoshima Toyota 86 has engine detail, its hard to tell from the mock up shots, but it does have a separate hood and trunk lid

Edit- follow the link, and scroll down to the third picture and you will see what the Aoshima an exploded view of the kit parts

If the Countach I just built is any indicator, Aoshima has really stepped up their game lately. I'm holding out for the Aoshima Aventador kit for the extra detail... I just can't see paying Fujimi prices for the product they've been putting out recently.

Thats why I pre ordered the Aoshima version, its $20 cheaper and more detail

Edit- If you want to get the kits, now is a good time, both Hobby Link Japan and Hobby Search are doing 20% off on all the new release's when pre ordered

Is it just me or does that mock up model look like it was 3D printed, rather than being a typical "test shot" from injection molded plastic?
