george 53 Posted October 18, 2008 Share Posted October 18, 2008 Well, fellas, I wentan dun it, an joined the Downriver Model Car Club. What a great bunch of guys! Every one treated me like I had been there for years,and was just another member of the family. I also met Larry Alexander of the Alexander Bros. Customs. What a neat guy! he's 77 years old an sharp as a tack! he had a bunch of cool stories to tell me too. It was great. I'm just gettin to know the guys, so I know it's gonna be a fun ride! Just wish I'd done it sooner! Hopefully next month I'll get to meet some of the fellas I din't get to meet tonite, Including Pat Redmon. If any of you guys have a chance to join a club, DO IT!. The commaradery is just too much to pass up, an you'll have freinds to build with, and enjoy their company.It was great! Can't wait till next month! cruz Posted October 20, 2008 Share Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) There's nothing better than joining a club and sharing your ideas and friendship with others, I myself am very proud to belong to 2 distinguished clubs with a lot of great guys and even though I am a bit away from the bench it surely helps to keep me active in keeping my creative juices going!!!
