Midget Whisperer
What are your guys' suggestions on pushing down Bare Metal Foil onto trim to make it really stick. I have heard of burnishing, What is that?? If you guys have any suggestions please comment. Thanks, Nick Abrams
Cato
Use a Q-tip to burnish (apply pressure by rubbing )and press firmly.
trogdor
On some intricate areas a toothpick works well too.
Deathgoblin
I usually use burnishing tools from Hobby Lobby for the first pass to get it started, then q-tips for the final pass. The tools have rounded ends on them so they don't catch the foil.
Art Anderson
I've used, for years now, a .5mm push-click mechanical pencil for burnishing BMF into tight details. The graphite lead is self-lubricating, so it slides over the foil with far less danger of snagging and tearing it. Art
Erik Smith
slightly moist toothpick. I just keep one in my mouth (gross) as I foil.
GeeBee
I have a tool made by Testors called a burnishing tool, but I also use cuticle sticks, (Have a look in the girlie section in the pharmacy), very usefull though, For final burning I use cotton buds, Edited December 17, 2012 by GeeBee
