  1. i've been curious for awile on how you guys go about building a chassis for these 1/24 scale slots. are there sites on how to build them? and what do you use to weld a frame? never done one an i wouldn't mind trying. thanks!
  2. overall its not bad. of course it has a few things that are so-so but overall its pretty neat, but if it delivers the goods under the hood is what gear heads are waiting for! the new big cube modular engine. with proposed 302, 351, 427, 429, 460, and larger cubes. this engine is already being ran as a 428ci motor in outlaw stock. now if the rumors of the Boss 302/429 comes true then it will be very nice indeed
  3. the Boss looks good! did you go with the single 4bbl or Cross Boss induction?
  4. lol no one else would step up to the plate on cars like this!
  5. those are two very very nice stangs! stunning work!
  6. johns keeper is one of two close up cars and is the one used in most shots of them driving. i have a mag with the whole story on how the leftover general lee's were given to one man to give to worthy people who wanted to restore them.......and yes that is given as in no money as this was a charity deal. i'll have to dig it up as it had lots of good pics
  7. being a 1303 its at least a 1973 super beetle. the vent behind the rear side window and the curved windshield sets it as a 73. if it had the vent and a flat windshield than its a 1302 71-72 super beetle. wish i had one of those kits sans decals as I have a 72 super beetle and i could kit bash to build a 72. standard beetles never got mcpherson struts like the super beetles did.
  8. Alright Elwood!....lol still one of the best movies made IMHO. obviously somone screwed up on this poor kit. its sux that they decided to use this scheme on a superbeetle on top of that (1303s is the 73-79 superbeetle) its hard enough to find kits of these particular bugs as is. but to simply deny that this horrific chapter of history never happened would be a injustice to those who went through it! because if we bury it it will come back because we did not learn from it. our sense of the past only extends as far back as the last thing Brittany Spears did wrong!
  9. wow that brings back memories! i still got a copy of that game! used to play it allllll the time and at all hours! the 40 ford is what used to bring the pain! i wish they never killed that game
  10. i'ld just fix the tire and build a dirorma around it. of all the ways you could fix it now its the way you used to build em that would be lost. it shows you were you've been and how far you've come in this hobby. i still have my very first model that my pop helped me build when i was a kid. its a 40 ford business coupe with a boss 429 litteraly wedged in it. rough as it is its one of my fav models.
  11. sweet build! one of the local racers here owns a 64 t-bolt that he runs everyonce in awhile. i'll say this those cars are monsters! from dead stop to wheels up to shut down in under 10 secs is a gut wrencher.
  12. building models is just like hot rodding....you build em the way you see fit....however that way is. if i had listened to all the naysayers back in the day i would have never hot rodded my 78 ltd ll and i would have missed out on alot of fun and a ton of friends! its the same with models especially when you build em for public display... they inspire others to build and find their own style and their own likes an dislikes and however varied that may get it was a simple kit built by you that inspired them to start that journey.
  13. here is a pic of one of our local donks.
  14. looks good dude! i'm all for a good clean looking car. it just sux when you see the millions of these on the road that look like they were painted using krylon on beaten up dented box or bubble caprices! but ya know how it goes....one mans trash is another mans treasure.
  15. thanks! the first time i took it to the local track to see what the 514 would do. i had a 2001 ss camaro line up against me. poor fellow lost horribly and couldn't belive the "granny" car had blown him away that bad till i showed him the big block under the hood.
