Thanks a bunch. I feel that finishing it, warts and all, by the show here on October 29th, is very doable, and I'll be concentrating on it almost exclusively.

The ‘warts’ you see will never be seen by anyone else….., again, glad to see you getting back to this, color is fabulous, and it’s gonna be a knock out when finished.
Roadrunner
I decided that I couldn't live with the warped hood, so just to expedite matters, I snatched another hood from a different kit.
Roadrunner
Well, I completely trashed the hood, so decided to finish polishing this baby while I await the replacement kit. I lost some tiny decal bits in the process (specifically on the passenger side), but may just leave it as-is, and mention that on the contest entry form.
Roadrunner
Headlights now all polished and given an acrylic clear coat (on the backside). Thank goodness I have at least three kits to select parts from, as three out of four in two kits, had sink marks in the headlight center, right where the stupid post is; very frustrating, to say the least. Roadrunner
Goodyear Polyglas decals now added on the tires. These decals are really excellent, being printed by Cartograf.

Try not to put undo pressure on yourself for the show. Just focus on getting it done no matter if you miss the deadline. I crammed one year and missed stuff that I normally would've caught.

I've actually accomplished quite a lot, just not posted many photos.

I finally figured out a decent way to paint Molotow on the Dodge letters on the tail light too. I'll try to get a couple of photos of that in the next couple of days. Roadrunner
Hood, now spritzed with Tamiya light grey primer and polished, looks OK, but still needs some work prior to the semi-gloss black lacquer.
Roadrunner
On my next T/A, which admittedly is a long ways off, I'll need to duplicate this in some manner. Molotow on the bare plastic headlight buckets looks just great, much better than when applied over the semi-gloss paint. Roadrunner
Windshield now split into two pieces and all edges cleaned up. This provides a much better fit now, and that is definitely desired by me. Have no fear, they'll be cleaned and polished before actual installation, probably using clear Gorilla glue or similar. Roadrunner
I’m now calling the interior finished, save for the installation of the shifter.
Roadrunner
Door and trunk lines now given a dark blue wash. I may still need to tone this down a bit.
Roadrunner
What a silly guy. I’ve been scratching my head trying to figure out why the dash won’t fit, and discovered that I never addressed the dash pad itself! Oops!
Roadrunner
Rear spoiler also now finished. The decal should actually be a bit further inboard, but too late now. I'll pay more attention next time.

Testors Icy Blue metallic, old school. I recently bought three more cans of the stuff, and it seems to have larger flakes, which is unfortunate. 7 hours ago, slusher said: Great shade of blue! Thanks. I really like it too, but it's very metallicy, more like metalflake.
Roadrunner
With a small blob of BMF added and burnished tight, I’ve gone ahead and spritzed the dash pad semi-gloss black. Once dry, I’ll polish off the Challenger script, then hit it (the dash pad) with semi-gloss clear.
atomicholiday
This is looking really good so far. I LOVE the color! About 20ish years ago I had this kit almost finished, and screwed up the clear coat. Put it back in the box and haven't looked at it since.
