conor1148
alright so ive done alot of model tanks, airplanes, and other military models but this is one of the first times ive actually tried a car, and so far its turned out absolutely great. i started a 1970s boss mustang, still working/painting, im taking it very slow i also just started a 1937 ford coupe, im painting it flat black right now and plan to have a nice glossy red engine block and red interior. NOTE: in the pic of the ford coupe body nothing has been done, just wanted to show you guys what it looks like almost forgot! the engine is not glued together yet! stump
Nice start man.. Will you be applying some of your weathering skills learned from military modelling...? I really really want to have a go at weathering, but haven't got the b**** to try it yet...... cheers Greg
Simon
Hi mate, looks like a good start! Nice paint on the Mustang. I found the bonnet to be a really bad fit on that kit, I never did get it to sit right.

I really really want to have a go at weathering, but haven't got the b**** to try it yet...... cheers Greg well i have a viper kit i "totaled" (did a horrible job on paint, so bad i wouldn't dare post it) and i will try the weathering techniques from the military models on the viper model first so i will see how it looks on something that started out as white plastic as apposed to the plastics in the other models, they feel different. if it all works out good i will use it on the 1937 ford coupe, right now i put the second to last coat on the body, ill sand it down real nice and post it up for you guys! its already looking good by the way i decided to paint it flat black, i like experimenting

So far the only piece thats went together "awkwardly" was the carbs, they didn't want to seat right

Oi!! Shame you lot haven't caught on to the English lingo yet! LOL ;~) I have a brother-in-law from WA and another deceased from N-Zed, not to mention a number of on-line contacts, so I've heard a mite of your version of the lingo. A lot of Americans aren't too familiar with it though. LOL Richard
