  1. Regarding the 29 roadster, I’m so glad they decided to recreated this tooling after the original molds were destroyed. I’m definitely going to buy a case of these! My one and only disappointment is given their need to completely recreate the tooling, I wish they would have taken the opportunity and added a quick-change rear end as that was an often expressed comment regarding the original release. Otherwise I’m very excited about this release.
  2. I saw these at Ross discount stores and wondered if they could be turned into nice models. Thanks for answering that question, it looks like it's coming along well.
  3. Hey David, How do you keep the furnace repair tape from lifting the paint? I have some furnace tape and I've been reluctant to use it for window trim due to its high adhesive qualities. I would say it seems the adhesive is even stronger that duct tape. Although I must say; I've used it to cover an entire 34 Ford grill and it worked great. Alex
  4. At Michael's craft stores they sell foil adhesive for gold leafing. I have used it and it works great. It's the bottle with the mona lisa on it. I can't remember how much it cost (about $8 or so) but if you use one of their 40% off coupons you get an even better deal.
  5. I had that happen to me with a later run factory sealed Jo-Han 68 Plymouth police car kit; the entire chrome tree was missing (grills, bumpers, roof lights, etc.). Unfortunately I bought it after they went out of business so there was no way to get a replacement. Luckily I do have a second kit that is complete, I might have to try resin casting the missing parts for the first kit. D
  6. Hello, I got an invitation to a club in Riverside from someone here but I seem to have lost that message. Thanks for the invitation, can you please send it to me again, so we can get in contact. Thanks, Alex
  7. Maybe I should expand the area covered, does anyone know of any model car clubs in Southern California? Thanks
  8. Hello, I'm a new member of this message board and I was wondering if anyone knows of any model car clubs in the Los Angeles area? When and where they would meet and other info. I'm still pretty new at building (or at least finishing) model cars after coming back to model car building after a few years, and thought a club would be a good idea. Thanks, Alex
