  2. thanks carl that is exactly what I am looking for to the T I had them in the real truck so I defiantly want to pick those up i'm going to go with the bigger wheel off the old s-10 I kit bashed for parts I don't like the irocs which is a shame cause I paid 10 bucks for them they just are to small and don't fill the wheel well as for the mirrors im sure I will have to search kits to find them I am going to scratch build the msd box I just have to get someone who makes decals as I don't have any of the stuff nor a good printer for them to make me an msd decal, a k&n decal, Lakewood, and autometer decals as I had all of those stickers on the back window and on the traction bars themselves I want to get this as close as I can down to the stickers scratches and dents lol I have just been working on the hood I am trying to replicate clear coat pealing as I had a small spot on the real truck hood where the clear coat bubbled and pealed lol I also had repainted the roof of the real truck myself and it was my first paint experience on a real car and I orange pealed it pretty bad and I replicated it on the roof as well that was hard actually trying to get it to orange peal lol never tried to do it before and took like 5 coats to finally get it to do it but its suttle and they way I want it in the end people are going to be like o this truck is so nice but you messed up the paint and could have done a better job painting it but in actuality I intended it to be that way and as you can see from the first paint pictures of the first coats it was perfect but it was to perfect and my real truck was not a show truck it was a street truck I had 5 grand into with everything so it wasn't perfect but it was mine and it was fun and building this brings all those memories back I found myself day dreaming about a time I had gotten some road fun on the way back from six flags on the garden state turnpike from a haot blonde I was dating at the time while I was mocking up the interior and trying to find a way to make it into a 5 speed....the shifter brought it up I guess its not easy to shift a car while your pants are down lol good times good times to bad I don't have the truck or the girl anymore but they both were fun while they lasted and sometimes you have to move on to bigger and better things lol
  3. HERE IS ANOTHER PHOTO OF THE REAL TRUCK PRIOR TO TAKING OFF THE BLACK MOLDING AND WHEN IT HAD UNIVERSAL TRACKTION BARS THAT WERE YELLOW , I LATER TOOK THE MOLDING OFF AND WENT WITH THE SPECIFIC MADE TRACTION BAR FOR THE S-10 THAT WERE BLACK WITH YELLOW BUMP STOPS RATHER THAN YELLOW AND GOT MUCH BETTER RESULTS AND LESS WHEEL HOP OUT OF THEM SO I I THINK IM GOING TO GO WITH THE MOLDING ON THE MODEL AND I THINK IM MAY PAINT THE TRACTION BARS YELLOW TO MAKE THEM STAND OUT AS THAT WAS A BIG JOKE WITH MY FRIENDS BACK IN THE DAY THEY USED TO BUST MY BALLS AND CALL THEM SKIES AND WHEN I RACED IT THEY USED TO CALL IT SKIEING LOL SO I AM LEANING TOWARDS THE YELLOW EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE WORTHLESS ON THE REAL TRUCK AND NEVER EVEN WORKED BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT THE UNIVERAL WERE 39.99 BACK THEN AND THE REAL ONES MADE FOR THE S-10 WERE 189.99 SO WHAT DO YOU THINK A KID IN HIGH SCHOOL WAS GOING TO BUY BUT THATS WHAT IT WAS ALL ABOUT BACK THEN TRIAL AND ERROR AND LIVING AND LEARNING ONE OF THEMANY THINGS THIS TRUCK TAUGHT ME IM WORKING ON THE FRAME NOW ITS STARTING TO COME TOGETHER BUT I BROKE THE EXHAUST SO I THINK IM GOING TO HAVE TO BUILD ONE FROM SCRATCH I HAD DUEL ON THE 1/1 SO I WAS THINKING ABOUT HOW TO ADD A SECOND TAIL PIPE IT ANYWAY

  6. UPDATE: got some rims for the drag radials they are a dead match also picked up a set of irocs for pegisius for the front but may use the stock rims off the 80s s-10 cause they are closer to the one of one truck.... worked on the door trim a little still needs much more attention but wanted to see the look may still shave it off and go for a smooth look as I had the trim on my truck and I took it off after a few years so that's still in the air o and I made a custom duel electric fan set up as I had put a Camaro fan set up in my truck and want to make it as close to the original truck I had as possible I thought it cam out great it was a very tight fit but I got it in there with the radiator and still have room for the motor minus the clutch fan of course I had to cut the fan shroud off for fit and also to be able to see the fans better works out good in the end and still have a bit left from the shroud to attach the air intake which I am modifying into a k&n style intake here are some updated pics:
