diymirage
here's the rules . (with some added clarification from ######'n B in blue-from comments along the way) Read em over, and if everbody is cool with em, start posting pics of your unbuilt kits, or whatever you're starting with on Friday, August 22 ground rules so far this is what we have (if every one agrees) objective: to build a car that could (or has) compete in a demolition derby type free for all race. armed with horse power and fire power the car will need to be able to destroy opponents it cant outrun? Curbside models are acceptable, if not preferred as it's all about external appearance the vehicle: anything civilian of your own choice, hot rod, import, american muscle, car, truck, suv or econobox, unbuilt kit, gluebomb, or shelf sitter to start with. as long as it is not a military kit scale: anything goes? (i would prefer a 1/24-1/25 scale to level the playing field but that is just me) armour: home made or kit bashed, basically anything goes. build time: we start on august 22 end by march 1 ? Official start in "on the workbench" on Aughust 22 to conincide with the opening of the movie, with posts of what we're starting with (seems like plenty of time to me but this is my first build of too so...) records: i say we show WIP pics at every important step as well as one or two shots of the unstarted kit. i would also say we write a little biography of the car to explain the choice of car, armour and modifications (just so we can fully explain what we did to it) people so far in: 01 Kasteer : 66 chevelle station "death wagon" 02 Evilone : deathcalade/94 chevy impala 03 Diymirage : 68 charger "haz-mat" 04 Aaronw 05 ######'n Blaque : 65 "pony-ack-ack-ack" 06 Willy Survive : 62 pontiac catalina 421 SD "dekapitator" 07 Texas Funk : 66 rivi 08 Jantrix : chrysler 300 C "the spartan" 09 The Madhatter : 72 skyline GT-R 10 damncranky : mercedes wrecker 11 allgosvo : 71 cyclone "pchycoclone" 12 Zukiholic : mercedes benz M class 13 ajulia : 72 or-isf mustang "macho diablo" 14 Nick F40 15 JAFFA 16 84vanagon : 04 pontiac GTO "G T Obliterator" 17 kk916 18 dirk : 62 bel air ss "impaler" 19 ryansilva 20 randX0 21 kjadud0667 : 67 plymouth GTX 22 jarheadndn 23 casey429 : 70 chevelle "chevHELLe" 24 jones clayton : chevy sliverado "killdorado" 25 mr. mike Edited September 7, 2008 by diymirage

kasteer
Wow Cranky... That BEAST has a LOT of potential for a death race vehicle... That is a great choice and I can't wait to see it done. You should paint some lovely flowers on it so it doesn't look so menacing...

diymirage
sorry must not have seen that dont worry about it i was just mentioning it in passing by, doesnt matter anyways, i just got my kit in the mail and it is awesome i can see how people think it a shame to cut this one up for a custom build like this and even the wife thought i should get a cheap AMT to do it with so im not sure what to do now. guess i have 2 more days to decide right ? (its the revell special edition 68 charger that comes with the 440 and the hemi, awesome detail)
