madmak
how do you weather a decal for an old rusted out model?
RyanSilva
I use poly scale decal solvent.. its harsh stuff, so it really softens the decal. I then use a paint brush and wipe it every pass on a cloth. The downside is the paint gets real soft so be careful. That roof isnt finished its still in its weathering form, i have since added more rust powder and body color to seal in the edges. heres a old one done the same way. RyanSilva
baking soda., but ive been using the 2 part system from michaels, only I..let the paint harden and then i break it off into small amounts and put it into a small dish with the rust solution, and let it sit for couple days.. then i file the clumps into dust. I use the dust as what you see on that roof. I sticks there via dulcoat painted on with brush.
