Here are some more views. After two and a half years, I finally finished this car. There were way too many long lapses of dormancy (procrastination). Thank you to all who viewed this thread and encouraged me.

Each wheel is made from two discs of corrugated cardboard, with a lightweight cardboard tread strip, all covered with coverd paper. The axles are wooden rods. The wheels roll.

I built this model to about 1/24th size, but I think I'll use 1/12th the next time I build any pre-1950 sedan with an interior. The windows on those old cars are too small to give a good view of the interior, in those smaller scales. If you go to the thread to which the above link takes you, you can see the interior parts before they were put into the car.

Dingo, I draw my own plans and patterns, and build my models from writing tablet cardboard. I have written a booklet for building the Avanti, but without the interior and clear windows. Bob, an alternative to me writing a book, would be to put my models in kit form. Kits can be put on the market sooner than books.

I appreciate the compliments. I no longer have any of these recently posted cars, because they were built on commision for other people, the only exception being the '79 Dodge Magnum. It was sold a couple of years ago on eBay. The 1956 Packard I'm still working on, however, is for me!
