  1. This is very cool. Obviously you're not sticking strictly to the artwork since you've already changed the color, so can you give us any details what else you have planned (engine, etc)?

  3. Alan, am I crazy or did you feature your resurrection of this body in a different thread previously? Either way, it's so cool to see you save this. And sourcing the big Hemi from the S'Cool bus is an inspired choice.
  4. Your build came out great as always. I'm just mentioning this here in case anyone stumbles upon it while trying to build their own Revell 32 roadster with fenders. People have often asked why Revell never issued the roadster body with fenders, and the reason why is that the body doesn't fit the fender set out of the box. This is because the distance from the front of the body to the beginning of the wheel arch is shorter on one side of the body versus the other. I've measured it with calipers. So, with a little work (like you did on yours) it ca be made to fit, but it's not a drop on fit.
  5. Looking good. Brookville actually made a limited edition 1:1 body recently, very similar to yours. Not sure if there has been any finished yet but I saw the display body in bare metal and it's a stunner.
  6. While I'd love to see this kit, I'm not sure it's as easy a layup as we may perceive. The way I understand it, to build the Streaker the way it was originally you need parts from 2 kits, the 64 Olds for the engine and all the body parts. Then you need the chassis and all associated parts from the recently released 65 Chevelle AWB kit. So Round2 essentially has to run 2 full kits to sell one. Definitely something that could be done, but only if it makes financial sense. However I am no expert, so I could be wrong.
  7. Well, since i never even started my 2023 build, I'm in for 2024 😋 Still have the parts and a plan, just have to find the time.
  8. Another way to improve the fit is to cut the body away from the firewall down the sides by making a vertical cut up the side where they meet. Then you can bend the body out to line up with the bottom edge of the roof and glue. Then fill in any gap between the firewall and body (it should be small). I've seen other builders do it and I plan to when i get around to building another.
  9. Great idea, and the tires could also be offered as a parts pack to generate further revenue off the tooling, like the gasser wheel/tire pack.
  10. History is a difficult thing to quantify. The list of legendary kits in this hobby is lengthy, depending on who you talk to. The various AMT Trophy kits, the Tom Daniel kits, etc all have legendary status. But when i think of the history of the hobby in this case I think of kits that are bedrock kits that made a leap above everything else in production at the time and show the evolution of kit engineering.   13. Or, if the tooling must be created from scratch how about a 2n1 of the custom 32 sedan and the stock sedan in the same box. Actually, you know what, scratch that. Because other than the body and glass they would share like zero parts. What was i thinking?
