BigBad
Hi guys! I bought the Ford LTL wrecker kit some months ago and was planning to build it as a short wheelbase daycab with spoke wheels from KFS and a DD 8V92 from Auslowe. Any quirks to this kit? Some pointers on building the kit or things to watch for before building? I've been looking around some and haven't found any...Yet.
B-onefan
I built this as a Tractor(not the wrecker) several years ago and I don't remember any problems.
highway
I have one in progress that I'm building as a custom, and the only thing I have found is that the hood doesn't fit evenly unless held in place by the hood straps, like in this mockup pic of my build: The only other advice I can think of offhand is, since the cab is a multipiece cab, I used the floor as a jig to keep the cab straight. Be careful not to glue the floor in by accident, though!
maxwell48098
I built mine as a pumper.
