Al Maciejewski
The Mid-Michigan Model Makers 25th Annual Contest & Show scheduled for this coming Saturday, April 18th, 2009, has had a sudden, unexpected venue change. For the last several years, we have had our contest at the Michigan National Guard Armory on Wilder Rd. in Bay City, Michigan. This morning at 9 AM, we were advised that the State has planned a "Freedom Event" for the returning unit that now drills out of the Armory, and it is a major event that includes media, families, and all that stuff. Understandably so, we are out, they are in. We have found another venue only four miles away, so I want to make sure everyone can still find us, enter their models, and enjoy the great deals our vendors have to offer. If you are coming to our show via I-75, take the Wilder Rd. exit as usual, only turn right (east) and go ¾ mile to the traffic light at 2 Mile Rd. (Meijer’s on the corner). Turn left (north), go one mile to Wheeler Rd (4-way stop sign), then turn right (east again) and go three miles to the Bangor Township Hall, right next to the fire station. That’s it! Easy to find, same hours, same great show, same great deals! See you there!
