pharoah
OK guys... This guy is good-real good. But. The plans for all of these are available through a company called Toys and Joys. www.toysandjoys.com Please don't diss me as being a 'naysayer' if that's the right term, but I don't believe every part is 'hand carved' like it says. I built a Ford Model AA truck using their plans and parts. You buy the wheels and other small parts from them along with full size plans. The wheels on his trucks are like mine. BUT - He did take it to the next step,or the next universe by adding opening doors, and all the little details, and I am in awe of him for doing that. Sorry if I offend anyone. The guy is still a master, and I bow to him. Here's mine. I built this about 10-15 years ago out of maple, cherry and ash. I added a few details like the mirror, license plate/brake light and a spare tire. I used a table saw, belt sander, and band saw(borrowed). Not near as nice as his,but I like it. Oh,it measures about 19" long. 1/10th scale?

Dragline
I love the work, but one thing bothered me a bit. This statement: "I’m not saying he was crazy, but it just seems that way." WTH does that mean? Why would someone who makes things in miniature conjure such a thought or mental condition? Such an ideal reflects on us all here who craft things on a scale smaller than 1:1. Just a thought. Bob
Big Daddy
WOW That's is great work, I too have built 7 of these I just haven't posted because I wasn't sure if they would pass, yes the wheels on the trucks are bought and looking at the engine there is only 1 thing on there that is bought and that would be the air cleaner, the tires on the grader and backhoe are hand made with a table saw they are each a 2 piece just one track on the dozer has about 150 pieces and it takes forever every piece is very time consumming
