curt raitz
My buddy Raul Perez gave me this kit 4 -5 years ago. He had already detailed/built the engine and the chassis. Decided it was about time to finish the car. Paint is from an old spray can of House of Kolor "Tru Blue Pearl" Flames are from Slixx Decals Wire Wheels - ? I found some nice "doll house" piano hinges to make the bonnet operational The vents decided to reappear after grinding them off & doing all the trick stuff to keep them from "ghostin' back". I wasn't gonna "Flame-it"...but, It's gone past deconstructing to repair, plus ran out of paint (HOK "Tru Blu Pearl" is no longer available) The Flames help disguise the vents a little...it is what it is Another point...the wire wheels (they were in the box I got from Raul)? Does anyone know 1/16th scale kit kit they are from, my buddy George Mattox needs to know thanx for lookin'...

Raul_Perez
Nice job, Curt!! If it was still mine, it would still be in the box!! The wheels are from the AMT 1/16th scale 1955 T-Bird. I don't know if they're also available in the 1957 kit.

sjordan2
It's the Revell standard Phaeton kit (also available as a street rod kit) which comes with wire wheels, but I don't know for sure if those are the kit wheels. ybsluos
Curt that is beautiful! I have a question. Do you or Raul by any chance have the wheels that came with this Revell and if so would you be willing to try them? They were a Boyd style wheel. Thanks and again nice build!-Mark
