Wayne Buck
VERY Nice Work! I think it came out great, Felix. Big E was my all time favorite driver. I was 19 years old when we lost him, and I'll admit, I cried like a little girl in my F150 that night on the parkway, all the way up to north Jersey to go back to school for the week. I pretty much lost interest in NASCAR all together after that one...
bbowser
Excellent first car! Black is perhaps the toughest color and you nailed it. Hope to see more

Kmidd65
Welcome to Nascar modeling! That is a very good job, I agree, black is the worst color to apply. Nice job, you will always cherish that first Nascar build. I still have mine to look back and see where I started. Thanks for sharing with us! Wayne Buck
\ x2 till i found Jr.! but i didnt have a truck then i cried like a baby in my bed that night basically put myself to sleep! :( Yep, that whole week was pretty bad for me... I seriously felt like I had just lost a family member or a best friend. Again, Felix, I think you did this one GREAT JUSTICE! You should be proud! Shortly after his death, I started to build a replica of the #3 as well. I didn't get very far, though. I was graduating from BMW school and starting my career at a dealership and put the models aside for almost a decade. My life just got way too busy, unfortunately. TheCat
Thank you everyone for the great comments. I'm planning to build a few more of Dale Sr.'s other race cars. Currently I'm working on the 2001 Corvette C5-R 24hr Rolex Race car that Dale Sr. and Dale Jr. raced in. Also, I'm working on Mark Martin's 2007 Army #01 NASCAR Race car. Again, thanks everyone. TheCat
Great job, Felix. Just curious about the engine placement. yeah, it seems to sit a bit inward, but that's how they sit from the pictures I've seen of the actual cars. Here's a picture of one of those engines:
