Merc49
Hi all, A friend of mine has given me a partially assembled Testors Nieuport 17. I am in the process of building it and making it more accurate. One of my problems lies in the paint, as he sprayed it in his barn, on a cold day, with silver housepaint. I need a way to strip the less-than-stellar coat of paint off, without sanding. I don't really want to destroy whatever minimal detail there is by sanding. On a side note, this model is descended directly from a 1950s Hawk mold, and has molded on roundels. I have an aftermarket resin rotary engine, and a leftover cowling and top wing from the Eduard Nieuport to better detail it. Please give me an answer in regards to the paint. I have tried Pine-Sol, and it hasn't worked.
