At the mo im building my last HH 70's Ford that i would need as a donor, so might have to grab me 1 or 6 when i can afford it lol. rickcaps55 Posted May 27, 2014 Share Posted May 27, 2014 It's a great kit I have almost 70% of the kits Missinglink and motor city resin put out. when you open it up you think it's a plastic kit and both of them chrome the parts that need to be chromed. Plasticfanatic Posted May 28, 2014 Share Posted May 28, 2014 I am finishing one of Missing Link 1978 Ford LTD as a cop car...and another kit of the sane waiting in line for a Sheriff's car, I can HIGHLY recommend the kit, as stated before the body and parts are done in a crisp and fine resin casting, my two kits where flawless when I got them and after the usual resin cleanup recommended it build without a pronlem and into...in my very personal opinion...a beautiful model. I am a BIG fan of the real car!!!....and a VERY important thing....when Kevin have everything in stock...he ships SUPER fast!!!....yeah...as you can see I am happy with product and service! First being a '76 Brougham in that tan/yellow then later a '77 and a '78 LTD Country Squire. I can safely say the LTD from Missing Link is spot on to the 1:1. I was so impressed by the care, I bought two. One to make into my '76 and when my skills are up to it, my '78 Country Squire. I also have bought parts, a '71 Ford and '73 Chevelle from them. george 53 Posted June 6, 2014 Share Posted June 6, 2014 I have it, its a Missing Link kit and if you NEVER have purchased one you'll LOVE IT! Its molded on a plastic like RESIN, so if your useing a donor kit, MARK the parts on the inside so you DON'T mix them up! Glue won't have ANY affect on the resin. Going to be a while before i can afford Im used to resin being a military modeller so its not all new to be, although would be my first resin car build, although for 10 years or so had a nice Challengers R/T body and bonnet waiting to be done. over here the AMT 70's Ford goes for about $40 or so, seen them at $16 on US ebay so that might be the way to go, save up and grab a few more kits from the seller towards end of the year.. My favorite is the 78 country squire wagon like the one above - my dream kit. There is one on the Revell "Share Your Dream" idea site. It has quite a few votes already. They'd paint the doors to match the rest of the car and strip out the police equipment when they got rid of them. That car is the exact colour blue RCMP used on their cruisers in the '70s.
