David G.
and gave it some washes / drybrushing again and the staff jumped up out of their chairs to test it out .. one grabbed a piece of aluminium sheetmetal and in no time got a nice curve >> OK... Now you're just showing off! Seriously though, you continue to amaze me with the level of realism you create and the speed at which you do it. David G. Edited March 19, 2013 by David G. crazyrichard
lol thnx guys , and what is next .. i really dont know never had a plan from the start , just sit and build and make up as i go ...i do need to make some handrails along the stairs .. i think i will be doing thatin the end more small details need to be added like all the wrenches and tools from the fujimi kit..and maybe i will try to make some special tools myselfi also still have the floorstands for under the axle and a garage jack from the fujimikit .. saving that for last because scratching stuff is more funbtw davis i have to say on the english wheel i'm not a 100% statisfied with the result so maybe i will make a new one later on Edited March 19, 2013 by crazyrichard

crazyrichard
just go for it its way fun well desided to try and make the english wheel more matching with the rest and used some paint juices fgollowed with a layer of clear coat . then redid the chrome on the rollers and added some matte rust added a iron workers decal and a die-hard decal. then found out a vw bus badge fitted in one of the drilled holes , i thought that looked like fun ,, like one of the mechanics put that in there also have some bolts for the floor plate some pics with de "t" and the towrod

Tom Geiger
Great work on the upper level! Turn the desk around so the boss is looking down on the shop floor. Then he can sit up there and yell at the workers
crazyrichard
thnx guys !! and did that with the desk but then it didnt look as nice as how its sitting now .. also with the stuff on the desk like the phone , camera and magazine its nicer to look at this way also thats all gued in place now sooo today i dint feel 100% , not sick nut also not .. didnt feel like building (rare for me:P ) so in the morning i just cleaned the fujimi tools from sprue residue and painted the lot chrome .. also painted a extention cord and floor jacks , those need more layers

crazyrichard
thnx bill ! started on some roof steel , got these free strips , dont know what they where for but i have a lot of those made a start then doubled up and made it thicker , a h profile from styrene would be nicer but that would not be cheap and this stuff was free. now i also like to use old stuff and recycle stuff so this was perfect keeping it removable put a wooden plate on top to see how it would be closed up with a ceiling , just for a test.. its making the whole dio very dark and takes away a lot of sight on everything.. now one idea would be to make a closed ceiling but with hinges so it can open up as well and maybe make the steel supports against that so you can open up the whole roof and have a open dio as a base coat i sprayed it with alu spray
Joker
The latest update "tops" it all...LOL Thanks Rich.
Tom Geiger
The roof detail looks good, as long as you don't glue it down so it can be taken off to show off the details.
dannyi
..now this is very impressive to say the least! ..a fella could spend hours looking at this and still not catch everything, great work Richard, attention to detail is off the charts!!!
