  1. I guess nobody heard you KT, so I'll ask. What the heck happened to Jarius? I haven't seen hide nor hair of him in the last two or three issues of MCM. REX
  2. Looking great Steve. What is the source for the mylar that you used on the firewall. I have been trying to find something like that, to no avail. Where did you get it? How is it packaged? Thanks, REX
  3. Wow Gregg, that's a question with a long list of answers. I made a list of some of the ones I would like reissued and before I knew it I had a two page list and counting. What is your motivation for this question? Are you going to make all our dreams come true? HA I would like to see any and all of the annuals from the late 50's and early 60's. The old double kits too. MPC-'28 Ford P.U. AMT-'67-'68 Chevy P.U. 4. Great looking Deuce their Matt. I'll have to try yhat flip-nose. Yours too Al. By the way Al, where did you get a 1/8th scale 409. Or better yet, where can I get one. Thanks, REX
  5. Put me down for a few sets, too. Please let me know when they become available. Thanks, REX
  6. Steve, I don't know what you have in mind for your firewall. Do you want some kind of film to cover your existing firewall or do want to replace it with a mirrored styrene piece? If the latter is the case, I picked up a sheet at my LHS that's about 8"X12"X.040" that is probably just what you need. It's called Raboesch Super Sheets. If I remember right it was about $4.00. Looks pretty good. The edges are white when you cut it though. If you can't find what you need, let me know and I will cut you a piece of this and send to you. I thought about trying a window tinting place. Maybe get some of that mirrored tinting film. REX
  7. Steve, Great looking paint job, man. I can't wait to try some of the new Testor's paint myself. I haven't found it around here yet though. What is the source for the mylar that you are going to use for thr firewall. I've been trying to find some that I could use on some windows in a '60 Ford Wagon but, to no avail. REX
  8. Looks pretty good, Frank. What kit is that? Is it the 1/16 scale kit that all the writing on and in the box is in Chinese? If so, How did it build up? Any problems? I have one and just haven't had the nerve to bust into it. REX
  9. Tom, Did you try detail the carb linkage? I put fuel lines on the left side but, wasn't sure about where to put linkage. What about that round thing on the side? Is it the automatic choke? What is the thing on the front of the carbs? Fuel filter, maybe? I don't know. Anybody got any ideas on this? How about some pictures? What kind of carbs are they supposed to be replicating? Anybody? Thanks, REX
  10. [Paul, Looking great so far, man. Love the color. How about a close up of that dash? Did the whitewall tires that came with your kit look O.K.? The ones in my kit looked like that the mold didn't fill-up completely. I found that to be the case in both of the kits that I checked. Anyone reading this, how did your tires look? About the mystery hubcaps. They are '61 Buick Electra caps. I have a set from Replicas and Miniatures and that's what's on the package. Thanks, REX quote name='41CHEVY' date='Sep 7 2007, 12:32 AM' post='48180'] Here is the completed interior, and chassis and one of the Mystery hubcaps for it. Paul
  11. Gary, I checked my directory and according to it the 27T Firetruck kit#T143 is worth $85.00,70 Impala Fire Cheif #T223 is 75.00 and the Camaro #Y720 is $170.00.Keep in mind that these prices are for kits in absolutely mint condition. That means box, decals, everything. I included the kit numbers so you could be sure that it's the correct kits. My directory is a couple of years old (3rd edition). I think the most current one is the 5th edition. Maybe it will give you some idea though. REX [ quote name='Mr Stock' date='Aug 22 2007, 06:30 PM' post='46060'] Hiya all, this is my 1st post here, so hello to you all. I have in my kit stash the following kits which I am looking for the approximate value and rarity. I'm from the UK and don't have access to the Bill Coulter price guide which is a shame, just hoping somebody can give me some more info on these kits. AMT 27 Ford model T Firetruck (street rods series, build as a custom or stock fire truck) AMT 70 Chevy Impala Fire Chiefs car (Looks like the same box art style as the early La France kits) Amt 70 1/2 Chevy Camaro SS396 (looks like the 1st issue kit with vinyl roof full frt bumper picture of drag version on box) All these are not shrink wrapped but are complete and unstarted. Thanks in advance Gary
  12. [Where did you get the delivery and the pick-up bodies? Is the chopped T a Lindberg or is it resin? If it's resin, where did it come from? Great dio. My wife would cut off both my hands, if she saw me starting something that size. You are doing one heck of a job yours though. Keep the progress pictures coming. REX quote name='framescr8pintoy' date='Sep 2 2007, 02:37 AM' post='47520'] where did you get the huge tool boxes along the backwall from?

    kit needed

Milt, A few years back, MRC had a gas station kit. The station was about 10"X15" built. They made a Texaco and a Joe's station, I think. Both kits were the same except for the decals. The kit had all kinds of stuff with it. There were gas pumps with an island, oil can racks w/little cans, a floor jack, a lift, compressor and a bunch of other related items that I can't think of right now. It's a kit. Everything has to be assembled and painted. It's a pretty darn good starting point, if you don't think you are ready to dive into scratch-building yet. They were not real cheap though. About $50.00-$60.00 when first released. You might try Ebay. If you don't have any luck. I think I have one around here somewhere, that I'm planning to work on one of these days. I would rather hang on to it but, if you want one and can't find one anywhere else. I'll let mine go. If you don't want to go that route, Fujimi made a garage kit. It was just two or three walls. I think two and a floor. It doesn't come with anything though. They made a separate kit called "Tools" with all the stuff to go in it. There was a kit for a modern garage and one that they called an "Antique Garage". I've not seen the antique kit, so I don't know what it's like. I hope this is some help to you. If you decide that you want the service station and want to get in touch with me, I'm at 60Desoto@comcast.net. Good Luck. REX
  14. Bob, I bought three of them at the Walmart in Cumming, a while back. Was their yesterday and they had restocked. [ qu ote name='Zoom Zoom' date='Aug 8 2007, 08:31 PM' post='44412'] Okay, now take a deep breath...the kit gets "officially" released on the 15th, according to the Model Roundup. Soon everyone, even those w/o the elusive WM Mercs, will be able to get them. I quit doing WM expeditions long ago, never could find anything new/hot locally that I heard about people finding elsewhere. My local store has a ton of kits, but not the new Merc.
