Dragfreak
Almost a year and a half ago I started this build. After clearing the paint and decals, I realized the Accel decal is totally wrong for the era. From there I boxed the build for about a year. I recently pulled it back out and told myself regardless of how stupid it looks, it has to be finished. The 426 has ignition wiring and fuel plumbing from the tank to the hilborn injector and the steelies are from the parts box, other than that it's box stock. Try not to mind the silver paint that magically appeared on the radiator or the crooked front wheel in the last picture So here it is,

10thumbs
Hi Jason, looking real good, I like it! What really strikes me is the slocks, what kind of finish do you have on them? They look right, and the dull shine makes them look real. I like the idea too of the steelies, plus the wiring is well done. Michael

W-409
That's a good looking Willys. The paint job is looking excellent and I like the steel wheels a lot. I wouldn't worry about the decal issue either, I'm pretty sure if you hadn't said it no one had noticed it. I like the overall stance and everything, but the detailing really finishes it off. Nice work.

Dragfreak
Thanks again! With or without the decal it turned out nice, but that decal just sticks out like a sore thumb every time i look at it. Hi Jason, looking real good, I like it! What really strikes me is the slocks, what kind of finish do you have on them? They look right, and the dull shine makes them look real. I like the idea too of the steelies, plus the wiring is well done. Michael All I did was sand the slick surface with a fine sanding stick and lightly waxed the sidewall with some meguiars cleaner wax

Dragfreak
Thanks Russ, my original plan for the build was to steer away from the traditional building of this kit by changing the wheels and body color so it is indeed sort of a my way build
DeeCee
That is VERY nicely done, i like the big steelies on the rear.
