Engine looks great! -
This another one of those projects that I started a loooong time ago that I was determined to finish. Not a big name car but a reminder of the good old days when you could get a few guys together and actually build a competitive race car. One guy with money, another with a gas station to work on the car, and a little guy brave enough to drive the thing! It was built with left over parts from MPC Don Garlits and Young American kits.

Nice presentation! You went the extra mile!

Well done! The colors are perfect. They’re so 1966!

Good looking car! Verdoro Green was such a popular color for ‘68 Pontiacs. You saw them everywhere! Now , it’s like seeing an old friend!😀

Tank you! They are great engines to detail

Coming along nicely! Good looking engine!

I am pleased with how the chassis and engine turned out but not the kit supplied harness. Sticks out like a sore thumb!

I started on this one in 2017, but with all of my moving and changing jobs, I put it away for 7 years. I recently decided to go back to my unfinished projects and complete them all. Here is where I started: I wasn't satisfied with the poor fit of the "doghouse" to the windscreen (big gap) and the area above the injector was too tight, so I enlarged and reformed the "sheetmetal" engine cover.

Thanks! I've been using Tamiya TS 75 Champagne Gold for the vinyl parts and TS 46 Light Sand for the carpet area and headliner. Almost all of the factory A990 and AWB cars came with gold interiors. Only a couple were red. Some cars had black rubber floor mats while others had the tan carpets.
