  1. Simply gorgous. Thanks for posting, I love the beebes. Christian
  2. Took these at the local track. didn't know if people looked to the track for inspiration ever. I am not sure the make or year of some of them but if you want more of a certain car I probably have some other angles. Thanks Christian
  3. I just bought 4 old model cars from a guy at work. 3 1/25 scale and 1 big one(a chord I think). One of the small ones is a 69 Z28 while I was looking at it I noticed the body is twisted is there anyway to straightin this out? Maybe heat it up and bend it or something Thanks, Christian My total take was a 1928 Lincoln (future rat rod) a 39 chevy coupe ( future dirt track racer) the 69 Camaro and the big Chord. I gave 14 dollars for the lot. Did I do ok?
  4. I am wondering what is the method of choice when cutting a model car body. I am going to chop the top of one of my projects and need a clean non-meltod cut. Thanks Christian

  6. I was wondering if the engines in these kits are pre-built. I collect these cars from 1320 and this would be a great way to save some money on them. Thanks Christian
  7. Can anyone tell me how you go about polishing a model. I have seen people even polish them without even painting, this is incredible to me. I usually use primer and either Wal-Mart "Color Place", or Krylon spray paint and clear coat. I also just got a nice paasche VL airbrush and am collecting some Createx paints. I am mostly wondering about what type of "rag" or towel to use and any polishing agents. Thanks Christian
  8. Does anyone use Pactra paint for plastic models. I race r/c cars and use it for lexan, but will it stick to plastic?
  9. Can someone tell me why Aoshima and Tamiya kits cost so much and how they rate against other companys such as Revell or AMT. Thanks Christian
  10. How long wil a typical air tank last. Say a 15 to 20 gallon deal.
  11. Can anyone tell me anything about the testors mighty mini or the transparent blue air compressors. I am going to third shift soon and need a cheap quiet compressor for the basement. (can't wake up the family in the middle of the night). I have a paasche vl airbrush and only paint model cars. I need to know if one of these will be sufficient. Thanks Christian Hartness
  12. Just curious if this paint can be used on plastic models, the price seems right for me. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...LXVT50&P=SM
  13. I am now 27 and have built quite a few models over the years starting when I was about 7. It's funny to me that even now when I get done with one it still looks like a 12 year old put it together. I am getting better though. When I tell people this, I always say i put them together for myself not to impress someone and it is just fun to build them. I also have several other hobbies, I tend to change hobbies like sports seasons coming back to each one every couple of years. I have never done any bare metal foil or body modifications. The only thing I seem to do is turn everything into a drag car. Right now I want to get an Enzo Ferrari and make it a pro street car, tubbed, blown the whole works. It is interesting to me to think of what it would look like. Who has the money or desire to turn a 1 million dollar super car into a "Hot Rod". I DO! Thanks for letting me rant! Christian
