porschercr
What is the best way to cut body parts, diagonal or vertical for the best fit when reattaching? Thanks, Trevor Edited May 5, 2015 by porschercr
Tom Geiger
I don't think anyone understood your question... Try again. Let us know what kit you are working with and what you hope to achieve. If you are narrowing fenders, is this on a modern kit or a Model T era car. Quite different.
Ace-Garageguy
Cutting on a particular line or plane depends entirely on what you're trying to achieve. Think it through. Measure and cut carefully and accurately. Measure several times, be sure you understand exactly what you're trying to accomplish...then measure a lot, cut once. Of course, with plastic, you can always fix it, but it's ever so much easier if you get it right the first time. cobraman
If I understand your question I would use masking tape to mark the cut line and then use a Zona saw to do the actual cut going slow and easy. This is the way I do it. There may be other and better ways but this works for me. I'm sure others will come along with other methods. As mentioned above it would be helpful if you would post a photo of what type of cuts you want to make and have them marked out with a magic marker.
