  1. You'll have to bid on it on Ebay to see it completed.
  2. Nice work you are doing. I like the look of the Monogram Kurtis but always suspected it was a bit too sleek and not boxy enough. Your corrections are capturing it nicely. Just for kicks here is the Monogram 1/24 KK500C beside Etzel's 1/25 KK500G, note how much shorter it is. Hosted on Fotki
  3. I'll present two options... Option 1. Don't bother as only a couple GTO's got this addition when retired from racing and "civilized" for road use. Option 2. Use masking tape to make a template for the area requiring the upholstery. Roll out epoxy putty very thin (0.5mm). Place wire mesh over the putty and roll until the mesh texture is transfered to the putty. Use the tape templates to cut the putty sheet to shape and gently apply to surface.
  4. Looks good. I like your methodical approach to filling all the holes and filing all the resin blobs. With more than 10 years in the business you would think Jorgensen would have cleaner castings. As you said, only game in town.
  5. They are long discontinued but appear on Ebay almost weekly for $50-75 but can hit higher with the right combination of bidders. Modelers also made a Sebring and possibly other versions with a resin body; they tend to go for much more $$$.
  6. Those bodies are barely worth $4.99 let alone $24.99. They are rather rough castings and generally out of proportion. Sort of the TKM of sports car bodies. They'll work in a pinch but so will a block of wood : )
  7. I picked this up at the LHS for $50. The box is 2 feet across.
  8. I got my six and I have to say they are pretty nice. Gripes: Wonky fit of the side bodywork, thick windshield and no race number decal guide. Plusses: Fantastic kit wires but I ordered the etched wheels anyway etc, etc. We NEED more vintage kits like this. Hasegawa left us 1/24 vintage F1 fans hanging with the Honda RA272. I sure hope they follow this up with another winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kurz

  11. If you don't like the Tamiya paints you probably won't like the Testors lacquer either as they are very similar. What about the Tamiya paint is a problem for you? "I dislike Tamiya paints, but I'll sure try to find the White Lightning." Trevor
  12. Looking good. What blue is that and where did the engine come from? One small thing, the directional tread is going the wrong way on the front tires.
  13. That's looking fine. Slot bodies are great way to get models unavailable elsewhere even if they're a pita. Are the wheels and tires from the Watson kit? Trevor
  14. Great to see you here Albert. Bring on the great photos.
  15. That is looking great! Did you glue he rear deck down or is this a full detail build? Trevor Taylor
