Lunajammer
A small roller with a convex head or ball head, maybe 1/2" to 2" wide. Something to use for rolling out plastic. I did a search on Micro Mark but not a thorough navigation, not knowing what it would be called. Where would a guy go for something like this, hardware store, cooking store, hobby store or...? Opinions?
High octane
I would look in a hardware or paint store and I believe that tool was used in smoothing out seams when hanging wallpaper back in the day.
crazyjim
Yup. Used on wallpaper seams.
Guest G Holding
Yep that is a seam roller for paper hanging also called a brayer Seam Brayer – A narrow soft rubber or nylon brayer, much like a hand roller to roll out ink for printing or applying wallpaper. Designed to offer every advantage, these soft hand rollers feature a durable plastic comfort grip handle, heavy duty steel frame to eliminate warping and a precision ground finish. The roller has a 20-durometer hardness to assure even seaming of non- heat pressed materials such as leather, vinyl, and plastics. Often it use used in conjunction with a rawhide mallet to flatten seams. Edited December 13, 2012 by G Holding
skysoldier46
yep. My ex wife was a professional paper hanger and used that all the time. Also check out art supply stores in the printing areas.
Lunajammer
Thanks for the great responses. That sounds like what I'm looking for but it also looks pretty big. I need a modeling tool to shape plastic for model parts. Does something like that come as a micro tool?
