Guest Gramps-xrds
I looked through the parts box again and found a 63 ford comp hood w/ the hole in it and did some modifying and now I have a 62 hood that I think looks just like it. Take a little off here and add some there and this is what it came out like. I sprayed some lacquer on it so I can fine sand it.

Eshaver
Bill since a lot of the cars in Beckley looked like that in the day what with the piece meal chrome from the cinders the D O T would put down so you could get around the mountian, why not leave it as it is ? I think you're onto somthing extremely realistic from the era. EdShaver
Guest Gramps-xrds
If I can't find something to use as chrome I just may have to leave it that way.
george 53
Well Bill, if ANYONE can bring them ol models back, I'm puttin my green on YOU! looks like a great save on that hood. I couldn't tell it wasn't the original hood, an it looks good to me! I know that the rest of it/them will turn out good! Keep on keepin on!!! Tony T
Good work, Bill...Nice to bring an old one back. I've heard that Alclad works good for chrome. I found it to be pricey, but the results may be worth it! Apparently, you airbrush it over gloss black to get chrome. It's real shiny too! James Flowers
Nice work on the hood . Looking forward to seeing more of this build . I also had to make a hood for a 62 Ford that I got off e-bay.
