  1. John and Scott, Thanks for you kind words. Its appreciated. Aaron. Yes I sold the body and I have spent some time on my new Photoshop program a made my Fireball Vega decals into 1/16th scale and I think I'am going to take a Jungle Jim body and make that into a 74 body, fit it to the chassis and see that goes.
  2. Bob, Sorry for being late on the comments. The kit I used was the Revell Jungle Jim kit. I was building this kit for the 74 Machine gun Kelly car but the decals I laid down would not lay down over the front end and got messed up. So I decided to use the Slixx decals. The chassis was built box stock with scratch built side panels fuel tank strap fire bottles seat belts fuel pump cable and throttle rods. I used R B Motion steering and suspension bolts & nuts. Scale Hardware bolts on the engine Pro Tech wire and braided lines. The body was fitted with Competition Resins 74 front and rear clips. The body was sanded primed and sanded again and painted with Rustoleum lacquer gloss black. Sanded smooth and sprayed with automotive clear. Applied Slixx decals and apply more automotive clear and and polish to a high shine. Hope this helps Thanks for asking
  3. Chris, What can I say. Everybody has says it all. What a excellent job. How did you get the alclad II chrome so close to being real chrome? Amazing. Steve
  4. Chris, I forgot to ask, how did you connect the rear part of the chassis to your paint stand? The angle you shot your picture covered up the connection. Again nice job. Can't wait to see it together. Its going to be outstanding
  5. Wow, what nice job. Love your paint stand. Good Idea to support the chassis. Can't wait to see it come together. Thanks for sharing
  6. Thanks Aaron for the kind words, Its appreciated
  7. Here is some of my latest funny car engines that was in the Desert Classic show. The first two is from the Frantic Ford Mustang II and the second two are from the Barry Setzer 74 Vega.
  8. Chris, outstanding job. What is the size of angle did you use? I would like to use some angle on my next project. I bet you are tired of drilling. I would be. What color would you paint the tin?
  9. Chris, Nice touch on the spoon test. I have used the aqua clear and it does a good job on sealing the chrome but I have had a small change to the shine when using the clear but it does protect the paint. Other clears will dull the shine.
  10. Tyrone, outstanding paint job and love the stance. This awesome keep it up.
  11. Chris, Another outstanding session of craftsmanship. This is looking good. Thanks for update. I will be using this for my next project cause I have always had trouble with interior tin.
  12. Thanks guys and you to Aaron for the kind words. I really appreciate it.
  13. Here is my latest funny car from this years Desert Scale Classic Model show. This is a what if 1/16th Barry Setzer 74 Black Vega F/C. Enjoy.
