  1. Thanks, Stu. That blue Nova is something I'm going for. Does anyone have any tips for a more realistic pulley system?
  2. Cranky, every car I see of yours inspires me.
  3. Thank you guys. These are all awesome. Andrew, I agree as far as parts go. I'm looking more for detail ideas. I normally don't go too in depth with engine detail since the cars I build mainly go straight to my display but since this will be my first show in a while, I figured I'll go all in since I have another month and a half to go.
  4. Love the color choice. Very smooth paint job too.
  5. Awesome work, Helix. I've always had a love for Mustangs. I have a 350z I'm wanting to switch to RHD. You made it look easy.
  6. Well, after taking a year off from the hobby due to a new career in law enforcement, I'm back and just in time for my local annual show. I picked up the Monogram '39 Chevy Coupe Street Rod kit a couple days ago. Since this is my first show in a few years I'm needing a little engine help. The kit comes with the 427 but I'm wanting to do something special with this car. If you guys could give or show me a few ideas I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks.
  7. Thanks for the welcome guys. I am planning on wiring the engine and fixing the brace once I decide to stop being lazy and make it to the store.
  8. First off, I would like to give a big hello. I've been lurking around the forums for a couple weeks now and realized it was about time to join in. I'm 19 and I've been building since I was 16 with about a year long break in between. I figured it was be a nice to add a few pictures for my first post. This is a '32 Ford Street Rod. Kit from Monogram. I actually finished this one about an hour ago. Every thing is pretty much straight OOB with a few minor changes. I left off the hood, and front and back bumpers. I decided to leave off a clear coat for this one also. I really liked the look of the gold and flat black. I welcome all criticism, as I'm sure there will be tons. (this is only my 3rd finished model.) Thanks everyone. Sorry about the horrible picture quality. Had to take these with a phone. I'll try to post some better pictures once I find my cord.
