How about a Coleman cooler with drinks.

All scratch built out of styrene.

add some decals..

Ice is nothing but table salt and Elmers Glue..stuff some tissue paper

up to 3/4 full and add the glue then the cans then sprinkle salt over it

and let it dry.

Or if you're really bored ...make a rear view mirror accessory

out of tree sprue and paint.

I like the idea for making ice in the cooler. Some very neat ideas.

Another idea, if you want a little challenge, Nick, is to try scratchbuilding a diorama, using bass or balsa for framing a garage wall and clapboard. Next time you're going by a construction site, check out how a wall is framed, and try to grab some pictures. If your high school still has industrial arts, talk to your woods or drafting teacher, and see if they can help you do some design for it.

But you originally asked how to "section". This involves taking a section of plastic out of a body to shorten it's height. Pretty much take a piece of tape the width of which is how much you want to remove and tape it to the body all the way around. Then use a razor saw and cut on both sides of the tape. Then put it all back together...with putty of course. Here's a link to a Youtube video on the subject...
