"NISMAGNUM" GT-R Wagon; ready for fun!

Finally finished the "NISMAGNUM" GT-R wagon. Aoshima Skyline GT-R front end/wheels/dash/taillights added to a Dodge Magnum body.

I'd love to own/drive a car like this; Q-ship wagons are just too cool. Fun project, but took me far too long. This crazy idea started as a Mustang wagon, but the Mustang front end didn't fit the Magnum too well, I searched for something more appropriate and I had an extra Aoshima GT-R. I like this car better than a Skyline GT-R or Magnum.

It's built as a very basic curbside. There is no engine detail and just enough underneath to hold the wheels in place. It is neither AWD nor RWD, it's a model, so it's NWD (no wheel drive). All the time was spent on getting the bodywork done. It's got a few rough edges, just like the two basic donors :P

Welp Bob, it's official, this is my favorite model of 08. This is just too cool and I love EVERY part about it, only thing is you should have painted it blue but it looks cool in silver. I would drive/own this thing in a heartbeat :) They need to make cars like these nowadays, and a Skyline wagon would be awsome, it would start back the Performance wagon (brick) movement back up.

If this was AWD, it would be killer on the street and track, and a cool look.

Like I said in the work in progress thread, along with that 300C wagon, this reminds me off the BTCC Volvo 850 Estate HGHLY!

Fantastic work! :D

The Nissan front end doesn't look all that different from the Magnum's front end. I'll bet if you didn't tell people what you did, a lot of them would never realize that the front end is from a different car! The ultimate "stealth" styling exercise!

Sometimes the best restyles are the ones where people don't immediately realize what it is you've done... it just looks "right" without hitting you over the head. That's exactly what you've achieved here.

And as usual, your workmanship is superb. :)

Pretty much nailed it for me with this one. I really dig how this worked out. It's also one of those that might not look right on paper either. Sure looks right in styrene! :D

Cool project you did. Now you need to make the race version.

An awesome build. A Japanese company did something like it with a Nissan wagon and a Skyline.

like this? http://carsmedia.ign.com/cars/image/articl...19041954891.jpg

I see a lot of R31 wagons! :)

Let's keep the FJ and Prius alone! :(

Celica wagon?

Actually there have been R34 conversions to Nissan Stagea wagons, but that's not nearly as cool looking as a Magnum.

Like this:

Nissan Stagea/GTR wagon conversion

My evil twin is working on a Magnum stock car; a full-fledged modern stock car chassis w/Magnum body. There's a perfectly good reason, but I'm not going to give away the farm :(
